Officials across the nation are working to ensure the integrity of the ballots cast by citizens.

Final counting is expected to be completed by June 15. The turnout estimate was based on a statistical sample from various regions.

On Sunday, Mexicans participated in the country’s first nationwide judicial elections, selecting around 2,600 judges and magistrates, including members of the Supreme Court.

However, turnout appeared low, as expected, due to opposition-led boycott calls and the challenges of voting among a large pool of candidates.
