During the pandemic, the WHO failed on multiple fronts:

• It amplified false claims from the Chinese government, which contributed to global confusion.

• It promoted strict lockdowns and mandates, which devastated economies, isolated the elderly, disrupted education, and caused immense mental health fallout and so much more

Now the same organization wants the world to sign on to a legally binding agreement that would grant it even more influence over sovereign nations’ health policies? That’s not public health that’s global overreach.

The language around “equity” and “preparedness” sounds noble. But what this really means is centralized control, top-down governance, and more room for unelected officials to dictate what can be said, done, or even believed in the name of “science.”

We should all be asking:

• Who holds the WHO accountable?

• Why should an organization that mismanaged the last crisis be trusted with the next?

• And how much national sovereignty are countries willing to sacrifice in exchange for vague promises of “readiness”?

If history is any guide, this agreement will not protect lives it will concentrate power, limit freedoms, and impose uniform mandates that ignore the real needs and rights of local populations.

Rather than empowering the WHO, we should be dismantling the structures that allowed it to mislead the world in 2020. Transparency, choice, and national autonomy must come first. Anything less is a dangerous step toward global technocratic control and we’ve already seen where that path leads.
