The withdrawal of USAID has put many countries in Africa countries in a position that requires them to be self sufficient. While the South African government has stated their position on the matter, the current President has spent much of his previous tenure building a relationship with the USA that has now withdrawn its support.

Former president Jacob Zuma, spent his tenure building relationships with the global south. His new political party, uMkhonto WeSizwe, held a press briefing, LN 24 International’s Wanda Sigagayi was in attendance to give us the party’s standpoint on the matter.
