Sweden is in talks with Norway, Lithuania, and Finland to jointly procure CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced Tuesday. Speaking at a joint press conference with Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas, Kristersson said the four countries are considering the purchase of several hundred vehicles as part of a coordinated defense effort. A formal statement of intent outlining the potential cooperation is currently being prepared. The CV90 is built by a Swedish-based arm of a leading European defense manufacturer.
