Russia has raised concerns over the United States’ proposed Golden Dome missile defence initiative, saying it poses a threat to global strategic stability.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated on Tuesday that the initiative, which envisions a worldwide missile shield, undermines the balance of power that underpins international security.

The $175 billion program, put forward by President Donald Trump, is intended to defend against potential missile threats from countries like China and Russia, according to U.S. officials.
