Iran Hoists Red Flag in Response to Airstrikes

In a symbolic act of defiance, Iran has raised a red flag above the Jamkaran Mosque in the city of Qom following a series of deadly airstrikes attributed to Israel. In Shia tradition, this flag is a powerful symbol of a call for justice and retribution, often displayed when innocent blood has been shed.

The flag was raised after coordinated attacks targeted several Iranian military and nuclear sites, resulting in the deaths of high-ranking officers, scientists, and civilians, including women and children. The incident has sparked widespread sorrow and outrage across the country.

In the aftermath, large crowds assembled outside the mosque, chanting slogans against Israel and waving national flags. Qom, a major religious center located roughly 140 kilometers south of Tehran, became a focal point for public demonstrations demanding a forceful and immediate response.

Iran’s highest authority condemned the strikes and pledged a severe reaction. In a public address, he stated that the perpetrators of the attack had revealed their true nature by striking civilian areas, warning that those responsible would face dire consequences.

A senior military spokesperson echoed this sentiment, warning that those behind the assault would face a significant retaliation and that the country’s armed forces are prepared to take decisive action.
