Federal Judge Blocks Trump Policy on Transgender Passports

A federal judge has halted a policy from the Trump administration that prevented transgender and non-binary individuals across the country from obtaining passports that match their gender identities.

The judge ruled that the policy is likely unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Julia Kobick in Boston issued a preliminary injunction, broadening a previous order from April which had only blocked the policy for six individuals.
