Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made a public appearance at a religious gathering on Saturday, following weeks of conflict with Israel. State television aired a video showing him at a ceremony commemorating a significant date in the religions calendar, where he entered a hall as attendees chanted.
Khamenei had not appeared in public since the start of the 12-day aerial conflict with Israel, during which several high-ranking Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists were reportedly killed. During that time, he delivered messages via pre-recorded videos.
In one such recording broadcast on June 26, Khamenei vowed that Iran would stand firm in the face of pressure, despite appeals from U.S. President Donald Trump.
