President Trump Blasts UN Over Inaction on Global Conflicts, Highlights Cambodia–Thailand Peace Deal

President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the United Nations, accusing the global body of failing to take decisive action in resolving ongoing international conflicts.

Speaking at a press briefing following his return from an Asia tour, Trump faulted the UN for “standing by” amid escalating global crises, saying that “the world needs leadership, not bureaucracy.”

His remarks came as he spotlighted his administration’s diplomatic efforts, including his role in brokering the recent ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand a deal he described as “a model for peace through strength.”

“The UN talks about peace, but we make peace happen,” Trump said. “From Southeast Asia to the Middle East, our commitment is to real solutions, not endless discussions.”

The President also referenced his involvement in facilitating dialogue between Israel and Hamas, calling the progress “a sign of what true negotiation and resolve can achieve.”

Trump’s comments reflect his long standing criticism of multilateral institutions, which he has often accused of inefficiency and political bias. The United Nations has not yet issued a response to his remarks.
