US Sanctions RUNC Exchange, Iranian Firms Over Sanctions Violations

The United States announced new sanctions on Thursday against 18 individuals and organisations involved in a network accused of helping Iran bypass existing sanctions and raise funds.

Among those targeted are RUNC Exchange System Company and its executives, Cyrus Offshore Bank, and Pasargad Arian Information and Communication Technology, an Iranian software conglomerate.

In a statement, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasised that the U.S. will continue efforts to disrupt Iran’s attempts to avoid sanctions, cut off its sources of revenue, and hinder the financing of its weapons programs to ensure national security.
