Healing Streams Day 2: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Teaches on the Holy Spirit, the Renewed Mind and the Life of Glory

During Day 2 of the Healing Streams Live Healing Services, Reverend Dr Chris Oyakhilome emphasised the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, the transforming power of God’s Word, and the importance of continually renewing the mind to experience the life of Christ.

The second day of the Healing Streams Live Healing Services with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was marked by a powerful emphasis on the believer’s identity in Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the transforming influence of God’s Word. Drawing from the Scriptures, the Man of God explained that understanding who believers are in Christ is essential to living the life God has given them.

Reflecting on the testimonies shared during the programme, Pastor Chris spoke about the goodness, kindness and graciousness of God. He explained that a godly heart seeks to help others, do what is right, and contribute to the wellbeing of others, reflecting the nature of God.

The Holy Spirit: Our Teacher, Guide and Helper

A central focus of the message was the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. Pastor Chris explained that the Holy Spirit is the believer’s teacher, guide and helper, enabling them to understand spiritual truths and put the Word of God to work.

Believer is not meant to remain an unrecognised reality. Through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, believers can grow in their understanding of their identity in Christ and learn to live in the consciousness of the life they have received.

Referencing Psalm 82:5–6, Pastor Chris highlighted the importance of spiritual understanding, drawing attention to the words, “They know not, neither will they understand.” He explained that a lack of understanding can prevent people from experiencing the realities of God’s Word.

The message called on believers to give attention to spiritual growth and understanding, recognising the importance of the Holy Spirit in helping them live according to the truth of God’s Word.

Renewing the Mind for a Life of Transformation

Pastor Chris also taught on the importance of the information believers receive and how it influences their thoughts, attitudes and everyday lives.

Referencing Romans 12:1–2, he highlighted the instruction to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. He explained that transformation is a process in which the believer’s thinking is continually shaped by God’s Word.

Using the picture of metamorphosis, he described the change that takes place as a person continues to receive and meditate on the Word. As the mind is renewed, the believer develops a different outlook, greater boldness and confidence rooted in the Word of God.

He encouraged participants to continue feeding on the Word beyond the programme, explaining that the time spent receiving the message during the services should be complemented by a continued commitment to spiritual growth.

Living From Glory to Glory in Christ

Another key emphasis was the believer’s identity in Christ and the life made available through Him.

Pastor Chris declared that Christ in the believer is the hope of glory, pointing to the reality of Christ’s life within those who have received Him. He described the Christian life as one of increasing glory, drawing attention to the biblical picture of the path of the righteous shining brighter and brighter.

He explained that as believers continue to receive and act on the Word of God, changes take place in their lives. This transformation affects their confidence, their outlook and the way they approach their responsibilities.

The message encouraged participants to recognise that their lives in Christ are not defined by the limitations of their past but by the life and realities revealed in God’s Word.

Healing Declarations During the Service

During the programme, Pastor Chris ministered to those present and to viewers participating from different parts of the world. He made declarations concerning healing, including cancerous growths dying, chronic back pain leaving, and strength returning to those who needed it.

He repeatedly emphasised the work of the Holy Spirit and the life of Christ within the believer as he ministered to participants.

These declarations formed part of the service’s focus on the healing power of God and the importance of receiving the Word with faith.

Understanding the Goodness of God

Reflecting on the testimonies shared during the service, Pastor Chris spoke about God’s gracious nature and the desire of a godly person to help others. He explained that those who reflect God’s nature seek the good of others and desire to see people experience better lives.

This emphasis on God’s goodness provided an important backdrop to the message on healing, spiritual understanding and transformation. The service encouraged participants to deepen their knowledge of God’s Word and recognise the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

The Holy Spirit Is the Spirit of God

Towards the conclusion of the recorded message, Pastor Chris emphasised the identity and ministry of the Holy Spirit, explaining that the Holy Spirit is not insignificant or separate from the divine nature of God. He described the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Almighty God, through whom God’s presence is communicated and who lives in the believer.

The teaching reinforced the importance of understanding the Holy Spirit’s place in the Christian life and recognising His ministry as the believer’s teacher, guide and helper.

Continuing the Experience of Healing Streams

Day 2 of the Healing Streams Live Healing Services with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome placed a strong emphasis on spiritual understanding, the renewing of the mind, the believer’s identity in Christ, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Through scriptural teaching and declarations of healing, participants were encouraged to continue receiving God’s Word and to allow it to shape their thinking and daily lives.

As the Healing Streams Live Healing Services continued, viewers around the world were invited to remain engaged, share the programme with family and friends, and help others connect with the services.
