President Donald Trump has vowed that U.S. combat operations in Iran will continue until all military objectives are achieved, declaring that the campaign is far from over.
Speaking on what he described as “Major Combat Operations in Iran,” Trump said the United States is undertaking a “massive and ongoing operation” aimed at eliminating what he called the Iranian threat. He reaffirmed that Iran will “never have a nuclear weapon” and signaled that the military campaign could expand if necessary.
According to Trump, 48 Iranian leaders were killed in the initial wave of coordinated strikes launched Saturday by the United States and Israel. The operation marked a dramatic escalation, with both nations targeting key military, intelligence, and government facilities across Iran.
Israel’s military reported that several senior Iranian security officials were killed in the strikes, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the defense minister, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Israeli officials described the operation as a decisive effort to dismantle Iran’s military leadership and nuclear infrastructure.
Trump framed the campaign as part of a broader push toward regime change in Tehran, stating that the current Islamic government poses a sustained threat to regional stability and global security. He emphasized that the mission would continue until all designated targets are neutralized.
The unprecedented joint offensive has intensified fears of wider regional conflict, with Gulf states on high alert and global markets reacting sharply to the escalation. Military analysts warn that further retaliation from Iranian-aligned forces remains a strong possibility as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East.
