IRGC Targets U.S. Bases in Jordan as Iran-U.S. Conflict Intensifies

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it carried out missile and drone strikes against U.S. military facilities in Jordan, marking another significant escalation in the rapidly expanding confrontation between Tehran and Washington.

According to the IRGC, the attack targeted facilities used by U.S. forces in Jordan as part of what it described as a retaliatory response to recent American airstrikes on Iranian military infrastructure. Iranian state media said ballistic missiles and drones were used in the operation, while warning that further attacks could follow if U.S. military operations continue.

U.S. Responds with Continued Military Operations

The strikes came after the United States conducted another round of attacks on Iranian military sites, including missile launch facilities and coastal defense positions. U.S. officials said the operations were aimed at degrading Iran’s military capabilities following recent attacks on regional shipping and U.S. interests.

Regional Tensions Rise

The latest exchange has heightened concerns across the Middle East, with several neighboring countries remaining on high alert as the conflict threatens to spread further. Reports indicate that Iran has also claimed attacks on U.S.-linked facilities elsewhere in the Gulf, while regional governments have urged restraint to prevent a wider war.

International Concern

The renewed hostilities have intensified fears of broader regional instability and further disruptions to global energy markets. Diplomats continue to call for de-escalation, but no immediate signs of a diplomatic breakthrough have emerged as military operations continue on both sides.
