President Trump Announces ‘Historic’ Gaza Disarmament Framework

Hamas and other Palestinian factions have agreed to a 15-point draft roadmap outlining a phased disarmament process and the transfer of civil governance in the Gaza Strip to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG).

The framework was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump and the Gaza Board of Peace as part of ongoing efforts to establish a pathway toward long-term stability in the territory.

Under the draft agreement, weapons storage and disarmament would be linked to a gradual withdrawal of Israeli military forces from Gaza.

Hamas has stated that any disarmament measures will proceed only if Israel fully implements its withdrawal commitments and ceases military operations in accordance with the proposed framework.

The Israeli government has not officially endorsed the draft agreement. Some Israeli officials have maintained that military forces will not withdraw until a comprehensive and verifiable disarmament process has been completed.

The proposed framework is expected to undergo further negotiations before any final agreement is reached.
