The White House has confirmed that the United States has presented Ukraine with a proposed peace framework designed to pave the way for a “lasting and durable peace” in the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the proposal emphasizes equal diplomatic engagement with both Russia and Ukraine, reflecting Washington’s renewed push for conflict-resolution diplomacy following its recent negotiation successes in the Middle East.
According to Leavitt, consultations with Kyiv are ongoing to ensure the plan is realistic, aligned with Ukrainian priorities, and capable of securing long-term stability. She noted that the U.S. aims to maintain “continuous diplomatic pressure” to bring both sides toward a constructive path after more than three years of war.
While details of the peace plan have not been publicly released, U.S. officials say the framework seeks to address security guarantees, territorial concerns, and international oversight to prevent future escalation.
