Madagascar’s Andry Rajoelina has won the presidential elections, making it for a second term.
Provisional results announced at the end of tallying on Saturday showed Rajoelina garnered 58.9% of the vote followed by Siteny Randrianasoloniaiko, a lawmaker, who got 14.4%, an election that was widely boycotted by opposition groups.
The country’s High Constitutional Court is mandated to announce final results within nine days.
